Student Members are the lifeblood of the Institute and with an aging demographic in most sectors of plumbing now climbing into the 50 year old range another ten years will see a vast decline in experience to be filled by the Student and younger member of today.
The Institute is fortunate to have Student Member, Rob Pearshouse willing to contribute not only to his Institute but also to the wider plumbing industry through his regular column in Plumbing Connection Magazine. Rob is a second-year apprentice plumber and suggested to the Institute Council that we set up a contact page on the Institute of Plumbing Australia Website to promote dialogue between the younger members of the plumbing industry, the Council readily agreed and this is a forerunner to what we hope will build into a national network of correspondents.
